Making the move from engineering to project management? I've been in your shoes. It’s a big step - exciting but also a bit daunting.

Back when I was a project engineer, I’d watch the project managers around me. They weren’t just handling tasks; they were leading teams, negotiating with clients, and making a real impact. I thought, “I want to do that.”

So, I went to my boss and said I was ready to step up. His response? Not so supportive. He thought it would be a "waste of my technical skills."

Despite his hesitation, I decided to invest in my own development.

I signed up for an intensive - and costly - one-week project management course.

At that stage of my career, it was a significant investment, but I knew it was crucial for advancing both my career and salary potential.

That course was the catalyst. It set me on a path that’s been both challenging and rewarding. Along the way, I took more courses, learned through experience, and sometimes felt like I was piecing together a puzzle without a clear picture.

Now, after years of navigating this journey, I’m here to share what I’ve learned and help others transition smoothly into project management.
